Fr. David Hostetler

Born a few decades ago, I met and married my wife while I was an enlisted sailor in the U.S. Navy. Fortunately, I had decided college was not for me and, thus, was able to meet my wife in time to escort her to her High School Senior Prom.

Over the years of our marriage we’ve lived in six states and two foreign countries, raised four sons, and veered through several career paths.

Ordained an Orthodox priest in June 2011, two years later I re-entered active duty in the U.S. Navy Chaplain Corps where I have been ever since. Currently I serve in Pearl Harbor, HI where I am the staff chaplain for Destroyer Squadron 31 and serve the needs of the service members and their families stationed here.
